ANNIVERSARIES Dawn and Daisy Duke
Dawn and Daisy Duke are both registered black clydesdales. Dawn is nine years old and Daisy is six years old. Dawn is Daisy's mother and they have been a team since Daisy's birth. Whether they are in the pasture or pulling a carriage, they are always conscience of the other's whereabouts. They are very people friendly and come when called no matter where they are. They both love treats and can find them no matter where you hide them. Currently they are the only horses used for the carriage business. At some point both will go on maternity leave to create the next generation of carriage horses. Probably not until 2008. The show will go on however with a temporary replacement for that period.
Both Dawn and Daisy have been part of a four and six hitch team in competitions. They are not as common as the Budweiser team which are made up of bays with trademark white markings. The Clydesdale Breeders of the United States, incorporated in 1879 is the member organization for the Clydesdale horse.
